THURSDAY 24th November 4pm – 6pm
Children and their parents are all welcome to attend!
Our staff includes two mainstream class teachers, one autism class teacher, one special education teacher, and a team of four Special Needs Assistants (SNAs). Together, we work collaboratively to meet the individual needs of each pupil, fostering a culture of respect, belonging, and achievement.
At Gortaleam NS, we prioritise the holistic development of every child, supporting both academic and social-emotional growth. We embrace inclusive practices and aim to nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence in all our learners, in a safe and supportive school setting.
We are proud of our strong sense of community and the positive relationships between staff, pupils, and families.
We are a Catholic Primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Tuam. It is a school where faith is lived and shared with children. The education which we provide is inspired by our faith and Christian values. While our school has a Catholic ethos, we also welcome students who are not Catholic. We endeavour to provide an educational learning environment, which facilitates the nurturing of each child’s full educational potential, in all its richness and diversity. We promote equality of opportunity for all students.
The school consists of a Junior Room and a Senior Room, a sensory room and a staffroom with cooking facilities. Outside is a large playing field, basketball courts, an active walkway and a well-maintained school garden. The school has a Before and After School Club available to all children.
There are two classroom teachers, one Special Education Teacher and one Special Needs Assistant working in our school on a daily basis.
